This year and for several months, Florent, Head of molecular Biology Unit, has been leading a workshop to present the Molecular Marking activity to Technisem, Nova Genetic, Armor Genetic and Jardinova employees.
During 2 hours, our colleagues had the opportunity to perform manipulations to learn about genotyping. They can learn more about sample preparation, PCR, results analysis and also compare molecular marking to Varietal Field Controls (another activity coordinated by SeedLab).
Developed for more than 2 years, our molecular marking unit allows us to analyze the DNA of each variety and to check the conformity of the seed lots before their commercialization.
