The search for molecular markers, these small DNA sequences distributed throughout the genome, has been the subject of methodical and meticulous work in the laboratory since January.
Our investigative approach has led to the identification of several markers for 3 varieties of tomato and 1 variety of African eggplant. On the strength of this success, we are now focusing our research on onion and are working on the development of our high throughput analysis system.
Molecular biology can be very demanding in terms of parameterization, the optimization of which is an exciting and delicate task. Therefore, after a new series of conclusive tests, we are proud to announce the inauguration of this new service for the month of September 2020!
